Banter FC Episode 1- BetKing TV

Banter FC kicks off with an absolute banger of an episode, and, honestly, the title alone should tell you this is one you don’t want to miss. Hosts Kulture and Denari hilariously dive into a range of football topics and fair warning, please don’t take any shots at your favourite club too seriously… It's all banter at the end of the day.

Arsenal’s Nearly Years in the English Premier League

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta with his head in his hand looking frustrated on the touchline

The duo starts off the first episode with a few playful shots at Arsenal and the disappointment that’s followed them around in recent years. To be fair, they’ve done a lot of it to themselves. After spending years getting close to the finish line only to fall apart when the biggest prize is within reach, it’s easy to see why Arsenal and disappointment have become linked. We look at the EPL past winners over the last 20 years and why the Gunners have fallen short of making the list, and there’s a comparison between Mikel Arteta and Arsene Wenger you don’t want to miss.

Maybe not for much longer, though. With the Gunners sitting top of the table and favoured to be Premier League 2025/2026 champs with two games left and already through to the Champions League finalthis might be the last time for a while those two words are mentioned together. Thanks to BetKing, you can get over 2x your betting stake when you pick Arsenal to win the UCL final at the best odds you’ll find at any online betting site

The Biggest EPL Disappointments of the 2025/26 Season

Kulture and Denari - Banter FC presenters

Next, the lads dive into the biggest disappointments of the season, and Liverpool are right at the top of the list. After winning the league in his first season, expectations were sky-high for Arne Slot. The club backed him heavily too, splashing the cash on names like Jeremie Frimpong, Alexander Isak, Hugo Ekitike and British record signing Florian Wirtz. So far, Ekitike has been the only one who has somewhat looked worth the money, but after rupturing his Achilles a few weeks ago, the Reds were left feeling frustrated. As for the rest, the less said the better.

There’s also plenty to say about Tottenham, who somehow had to wait until April for their first league win of 2026. While their neighbours Arsenal were off enjoying a historic campaign, Spurs were making history for all the wrong reasons. Managers came and went, injuries piled up, points were handed out like party jollof rice and for a while, relegation seemed likely. Somehow though, it looks like they might just scrape through. Thanks to Roberto De Zerbi.

Then came Chelsea. Honestly, where do you even start? From winning the Europa Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup last season to going through three managers, terrible results, and sitting through painfully average signings (*cough*, Alejandro Garnacho, *cough*), it’s been a rough ride for the Blues, and after losing the FA Cup final to City, another wasted season ends with nothing.

BetKing TV Reacts: What Fans Are Saying

One of the best things about Banter FC is how much we involve the fans. We love hearing your opinions and, naturally, breaking them down in our usual humorous and lighthearted style. In this episode, Kulture and Denari react to this tweet from @ArsenalChizzy:

“Unpopular Opinion: If Pep Guardiola were Arsenal manager, he still wouldn’t have won anything with us either.”

First of all, that’s dangerously close to football blasphemy, and the boys completely agree. How dare you say that about Pep, Chizzy?!

And since we’re already on Arsenal… sorry Gunners fans, but the jokes have to fly. @WolfRMFC tweeted:

“Genuinely believe that if Arsenal bottle every trophy this season, their fans will never mentally recover. These are generational scars.”

Honestly, it’s hard to disagree. Imagine reaching two cup finals, leading the Premier League for most of the season, and still ending up with nothing to show for it. If I were an Arsenal fan, I’d check myself into a hospital.
